Supporting your health and wellbeing with reflexology
Facial reflexology works on the same principle as foot reflexology, providing the same level of deep relaxation, healing and restoration. It also has the unique additional benefits of releasing tension and negative emotions which are held in the face, relaxing the facial muscles and giving your complexion a radiant glow. Facial reflexology reduces stress and stimulates the body’s own healing processes by very gently applying pressure to specific reflex points, muscles, skin and fascia on the face. As well as supporting your whole body, facial reflexology can help with specific issues which directly relate to the face, including jaw tension, teeth grinding, headaches, migraines, sinusitis, and conditions such as Bell’s palsy.
Facial reflexology brings all the wellbeing benefits of foot reflexology. It’s a non-invasive treatment that encourages healthy blood flow and lymphatic drainage, encouraging the elimination of toxins and helping to reduce puffiness. Facial reflexology also naturally stimulates collagen and elastin production which means that after just one treatment your face can look softer, less stressed and more radiant.
Facial reflexology combines the healing and restorative powers of traditional reflexology, with the deep relaxation and benefits of a face massage.
At the start of each treatment I start off with some nice relaxing massage movements from your elbows upper arms, shoulders, neck up to the top of your head. Your face will be cleansed with an organic cleanser, then a natural organic facial oil which is nourishing and revitalising for the skin will be applied. For the main part of the facial reflexology treatment, I apply gentle pressure on different reflex points on the face, and use massage and natural lifting techniques too. The overall experience is very relaxing and provides a deep sense of inner lightness and calm.
I trained in the Bergman Method of Advanced Facial Reflexology with Ziggie Bergman. Ziggie is a pioneer in modern facial reflexology, and is the winner of the Association of Reflexologists’ Award for Excellence and Innovation in Modern Facial Reflexology.
